FIS Ski World Cup Adelboden

No cashmachine is available in the weltcup village.

For the last 64 years, Adelboden has been proud to host this international ski event. The AUDI FIS Ski
World Cup attracts over 40 000 ski fans here each year, transforming Adelboden into a popular hive of
activity once again on 11 / 12 January 2020. It all kicks off on Friday 10 January at 4pm with the World Cup Show in Boden. The pit lane and a chance to mix with the stars, the warm-up party with giant ski show, and of course the all-important draw for starting places in the giant slalom on Saturday ensure an exciting start to the race weekend.

The start number drawing takes place in the weltcup-village.

On Saturday at 10.30am, it all begins in earnest: the world’s best male skiers attempt the most challenging of all giant slalom courses with individual times measured to a hundredth of a second. Those able to conquer the 1290 metre steep downhill run twice can rely on the vocal and enthusiastic support of the crowd. From 6.30pm onwards, it’s party time again at Märitplatz when the best five competitors in the giant slalom celebrate their success together with thousands of fans. After the presentation ceremony, the draw for starting places on the following day takes place. The slalom race on Sunday at 10.30am offers just as much excitement and really puts competitors to the test. Chuenisbärgli doesn’t leave
room for a single mistake and the one who eventually wins is truly the best.

We’re already looking forward to another unforgettable race weekend!
