A Sports Pass for the Four Largest Ski Resorts in Bern
The largest four ski resorts in Switzerland are joining forces this coming winter season.
The Jungfrau Ski Region, Adelboden-Lenk, Meiringen-Hasliberg, and Gstaad are introducing a joint season ticket. For just CHF 666, an advance ticket purchase offers unlimited use of the 666 km (= 414 miles) of pistes in the Bernese Oberland. No one should lose any time this coming season wondering where to spend their ski holidays or winter sports break. The new season ticket opens up a snow paradise stretching from Meiringen-Hasliberg over the Jungfrau Ski Region and Adelboden-Lenk to Gstaad. Boasting 666 km of pistes in total, the four largest ski resorts in the Bernese Oberland have now entered the market together.
CHF 1 per kilometre of piste
The new season ticket will be launched in early September 2017 at a pre-sale discount. Between 1 September and 15 December 2017, the ski pass will cost just CHF 666 (CHF 333 for children and CHF 499 for young persons). That means no more than CHF 1 for each kilometre of prepared piste. From Saturday 16 December onwards, the ski pass will be available for CHF 950 (CHF 475 for children and CHF 710 for young persons). In the future, just one ski pass will cover the Bernese Oberland from east to west. This will significantly increase the catchment areas of the participating resorts as well as making the ski pass an attractive investment for people from other Swiss cantons. While the mountain lifts of Meiringen-Hasliberg become a gateway for visitors from Zurich and Central Switzerland, Gstaad is ideally located for visitors from the west of the country.
Overnight for half-price
The new ski pass is expected to attract even more holiday guests so, in addition to the ski pass itself, holders also receive a discount of up to 50% at selected hotels in all the resorts between Sunday and Thursday. Further discounts for ski schools and ski rental centres are currently being negotiated. This offer does not apply to the Christmas and New Year holiday or during the official winter sports weeks in February. Ski season tickets will be available from Friday 1 September 2017 at the usual sales outlets as well as online from the websites of the four participating ski resorts. These will also list details of the hotels which can be booked for a discounted price in combination with the ski pass.
