The two Reformed churches, in Adelboden and Frutigen, were built in the 15th century and are well worth a visit.
Village church Adelboden
Little has changed since its consecration in 1433. Especially worth seeing are the frescoes by the entrance, and the stained glass windows made by Augusto Giacometti.
Village church Frutigen
Well worth seeing as well is the late gothic church in Frutigen, dating to 1421. At the beginning of the 18th century it was reconstructed from the old parts after a fire, and thereby received its baroque finish.
In winter and in summer, a selection of festive classical concerts take place in the village churches of Adelboden and Frutigen. A detailed programme is available from the Tourist Centers in Adelboden and Frutigen.
