Globi makes his mark on the Engstligenalp

If there is anyone who can form a link between life in the Alps and the business world in which most of us exist, then it's Globi. With his love of nature and youthful appeal, the legendary Swiss children's book character has been a role model for generations of people for as long as they can remember. So it comes as no surprise that Engstligenalp has invited the famous blue bird to be its personal ambassador up on the enormous Alpine plateau above Adelboden. With his comical manner, Globi has taken on the persona of a cowherd's assistant - full of bright ideas and ready to awaken the imaginations of possible future farmers with his enthusiasm. Fun and games start with catchy Globi songs played in the cable car. On the Alp above the 600 meter-high Engstlige Falls, young guests can enjoy watching the animals, taking part in treasure hunts, visiting the farmers and other outdoor activities next to the mountain streams - all under the careful eye of the half parrot, half human with his famous chequered trousers. But Globi isn't just a symbol on signposts and brochures - at certain times, he'll be making a personal appearance on Engstligenalp too. Up here with the cows and the herbs, he proves that he not only has a yellow beak but also green fingers and the ability to make Engstligenalp both educational and fun at the same time.
