As ever, the forthcoming summer season at Adelboden-Frutigen will be marked by popular events in and around the village. Highlights include the procession of cattle up to their summer pastures on Engstligenalp, the open day at the shepherds’’ hut and the Swiss Chamber Music Festival Adelboden. >more

For 350 cows, the 70 day long summer stay on the high plateau at Engstligenalp begins in June 2012 with the traditional procession up the narrow pathways, called "Alpaufzug". >more

The 6th Adelboden Street Artiste and Barrel Organ Festival takes place on Saturday 7 July. Artistes of all descriptions will entertain the public in the town centre with their musical, acrobatic and humorous antics. >more

The next Vogellisi Mountain Run takes place on Sunday 15 July 2012. Runners and Nordic walkers will climb a vertical distance of over 800 metres. The scenic route leads from the Adelboden mineral water spring up to Sillerenbühl. Energetic runners can complete the trail in less than an hour. A special children’s race is being organised at the summit. >more

The 6th Alpine Culinary Festival in Adelboden is taking place on Saturday 18 August. Once again, guests can enjoy a vast selection of local specialities. >more

The series of concerts entitled "The Favourites of Switzerland" enters its second round. From 26 September until 7 October 2012, Adelboden will resound to beautiful music as it welcomes the national classical music festival. >more
